Biography

Gaurav is a highly skilled project director, registered architect, and co-founder of R ARCHITECTURE. Prior to establishing R ARCHITECTURE, he worked with some of Australia’s leading commercial architecture practices. Throughout his 15+ year career, he has gained experience on large, complex projects, including multi-residential developments, mixed-use projects, education, retail, private housing and heritage, working on architectural design and built delivery in Victoria, NSW and SA.

Gaurav founded R ARCHITECTURE in 2011, with a vision of “bringing design excellence to the suburbs”. The practice has since earned a well-deserved reputation for design quality. His willingness to listen and collaborate, being accountable and solutions focused, has secured a reliable pipeline of ongoing work for R ARCHITECTURE.

With strong capability spanning masterplanning and urban design as well as architecture, Gaurav has designed and delivered high-value projects for both private and public sector entities. He brings great depth of design knowledge and diversity of experience in urban design and architectural issues specific to suburbs in Melbourne’s outer areas. These fast-growing areas have diverse populations and need infrastructure solutions that are value for money, community-focussed and futureproof.

Gaurav has experience working with local and state government on complex and important projects, including recent experience working with the City of Casey in advisory architectural and urban design roles.
